Located between downtown Asheville and North Asheville, the UNCA Five Points neighborhood gets its name from the five-way intersection that is situated at its center and the homes proximity to the University of North Carolina at Asheville campus. The neighborhood is very walkable with Glenn's Creek Greenway and Reed Creek Greenway running alongside the UNCA campus. The Botanical Gardens at Asheville, UNCA Asheville's campus and a bustling restaurant scene located off of Broadway Street and Merrimon Ave are all located in close proximity to the community. Central downtown Asheville is also just minutes from the neighborhood. Like other areas in downtown Asheville, some of the earliest homes were built in the 1920s. In the early days, a streetcar line ran along Broadway Street and turned on Mount Clare Avenue — connecting the neighborhood to downtown Asheville.

Thanks to intersecting greenways, many of the restaurants are walkable from the community, though we recommend commute by vehicle if you are headed to central downtown Asheville.
