When Kathy Begley came to work at Ridgecrest as a college student summer staffer in 1974, she never dreamed she would leave her hometown of Lousiana. But Kathy fell in love with the area and with her future husband, and has raised her children here and made the Asheville area her home for almost 40 years.
Kathy ‘s employment interests have been varied, first working in a bank credit department and then opening her own business supply store in Black Mountain working with local companies and organizations including Gerber and Buncombe County Schools. After 14 years operating every aspect of this woman-owned business, Kathy sold the company and became a Mary Kay Sales Director. Four years later, in 2005, Kathy obtained her Realtor’s license and began working in Asheville and Black Mountain, joining Greybeard Realty in 2009. Kathy appreciates what the area offers and enjoys working with first time home buyers and people retiring to the Asheville area. “I just really like trying to help make the process as smooth as possible.”

We were very lucky to find Kathy Begley when we relocated from Lexington, Mass. Kathy helped us learn our way around the Black Mountain / Asheville area while we were house-hunting. It took some time to find the house we wanted, and Kathy was very professional, and helpful during the entire process. Her knowledge of the local market, and quickly understanding what we were looking for paid off for us. We think she is real asset to GreyBeard Realty. Mark and Kathleen

Kathy is a very caring real estate lady who try’s her best to find someone what they want in a home. My experience was bey positive and she has become a good friend. She genuinely cares about people in general and wants to treat them fairly. Thank you. She is an asset to Greybeard.
After meeting with Kathy she knew what I was looking for right away. Kathy kept me posted on new homes on the market and would be honest with me based on my wants. It took awhile but in the end I decided to purchase a new construction home in Black Mountain. I thank Kathy for her patience with my ever changing mind and her perseverance and persistence to make sure that the entire process to closing she had my back. Evelyn
